“Never Imagined” EP

“Never Imagined” is the debut EP by TerahJay that bridges art and academia, and features original music from the Imagined Futures documentary film “Things We Imagined.”

A concept album that traces Dr. Terah J. Stewart’s own journey to and through the professoriate, while also highlighting shared realities, joys, and pain of being Black in higher education. Each musical track is preceded by an interlude provided context for the music, the broader Imagined Futures project, and T.J.’s personal experience.

With three original songs, including the breakout singles “Never Imagined” and “Asé Amen,” he has created a project that uplifts, narrates reality, and reminds us why we love music with a message.
